What Is MotoTunePro Used For?

MotoTunePro is used to diagnose, test, log, and tune supported Buell motorcycles with DDFI electronic fuel injection. It connects to the motorcycle's engine control module (ECM), reads live engine data and faults, records rides, supports calibration work, and protects safety-sensitive write operations.

What Riders and Technicians Use It To Do

Diagnose faults

Confirm a real ECM response, read current and stored DDFI trouble codes, inspect live channels, clear supported faults, and run confirmation-gated active tests.

Record evidence

Log synchronized ride and engine data for troubleshooting, compare behavior under load, and preserve evidence for later diagnostic review.

Review and edit tuning maps

Inspect calibration maps, make deliberate cell-level changes, and use ride-log analysis for evidence-based diagnostic and tuning guidance.

Protect the ECM

Create read-back-checked EEPROM backups and gate supported write workflows behind ECM identity, engine-state, voltage, review, and confirmation checks.

Current Motorcycle Scope

MotoTunePro supports all fuel-injected Buells through 2010. Hardware communication is currently qualified on Android, Windows, macOS and Linux, with iOS in the works, through supported Buelltooth Bluetooth Classic SPP or compatible FTDI USB serial paths. Exact capability is determined from the connected ECM identity.

The BUE2D direct calibration and EEPROM write workflow is implemented, but persistent physical flashing is not represented as production-validated until a real-hardware power cycle and matching read-backs prove persistence.
