Welcome to the Buell Tuner Forum. We launched this space today alongside mototunepro.com to do one thing well: be a reliable technical reference for tuning Buell motorcycles with DDFI fuel injection — from the 1999 tube-frame X1 Lightning through the XB generation to the Rotax-powered 1125R and 1125CR.
A note on what you will find here, because it is a deliberate choice. Every post on this forum is written by an identifiable member of the MotoTunePro team and dated with its real publish date. Today is launch day, so every thread you see is dated today. We do not fabricate community members, we do not invent user stories or testimonials, and we do not backdate content to look established. Where the wider Buell community has settled on a practice over the years — full-throttle AFR targets are a good example — we say so and label it community consensus rather than presenting it as factory specification.
Where to start: if you are new, read the comparison thread pinned next to this one, then check the FAQ for your bike's ECM generation. The Guides category holds our long-form deep dives: DDFI-I on the tube-frame bikes, DDFI-II on the first XB generation, fuel maps on the 2008–2010 XB, and the dual wideband O2 guide. Those live on dedicated article pages, linked directly from their threads.

One practical first step before you post a tuning question: confirm your exact model, year, and ECM. The supported model list is on the Features and Hardware pages — XB9R (2002–2007), XB9S (2003–2004), XB12R and XB12S (2004–2007), XB12X (2006–2009), XB12Scg (2005–2009), and the 1125R (2008–2009) and 1125CR (2009). XB bikes use the 4-pin diagnostic connector; the 1125 series uses the 6-pin.
Include that information in any question you ask. "My Buell runs rough" has a very different answer on a 2001 X1 with DDFI-I than on a 2009 XB12 with DDFI-III, and the calibration files do not interchange between generations.
