MotoTunePro USA LLC (“MotoTunePro,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides the MotoTunePro applications, websites, account services, cloud storage, MotoTune Intelligence features, and support services. This policy explains what information those services handle, why it is handled, when it leaves your device, and the choices available to you.
1. Information we handle
Account and identity information
We may process your name, email address, display name, provider profile-photo URL, email-verification status, account identifier, sign-in provider, account timestamps, and authentication or security events. Depending on platform and availability, sign-in may use email and password, Google, or Apple. A custom profile photo selected inside MotoTunePro is currently stored in local app settings unless you separately share it.
Garage, motorcycle, rider, and adapter information
Information you enter may include motorcycle year, make, model, trim, VIN, engine and ECM identifiers, connector or adapter details, modifications, mileage, notes, fuel and oil specifications, tire and sprocket information, rider-entered name, weight, height, and preferences. Signed-in Garage profiles synchronize to your account. The current sync removes rider weight and height, and Garage motorcycle photos remain on the local device.
A selected make identifier and model year may be sent to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration vPIC service for catalog results. The query does not intentionally include your MotoTunePro account ID, although normal network information such as an IP address may be processed.
ECU, calibration, ride, and diagnostic information
MotoTunePro can create or read ECM identity, diagnostic trouble codes, freeze-frame and sensor data, calibration and EEPROM files, map values, hashes, backups, candidates, flash evidence, read-back results, ride and dyno logs, symptoms, objectives, and technician questions. Most raw evidence remains in app-private storage. It leaves the device when you deliberately upload, analyze, export, or share it, or when a feature clearly requires cloud processing.
MotoTune Intelligence
When you invoke MotoTune Intelligence, relevant text, motorcycle details, diagnostic evidence, log summaries or representative rows, and calibration data are sent through MotoTunePro cloud functions to third-party AI service providers that process the ride logs and questions you choose to send, solely to generate your results. MotoTunePro selects the provider on the server; your data is not sold.
We retain the resulting report, provider and model, report type, creation time, limited source metadata, and request or token totals used for security, entitlements, limits, and operation. The vehicle-identifier redaction control generalizes supported identifiers where implemented but does not necessarily make a request anonymous.
Location, motion, and emergency response
- Street Dyno reads GPS-derived speed on-device. It does not currently save or upload raw latitude or longitude.
- Crash detection evaluates accelerometer and gyroscope readings on-device when enabled. Those readings are not uploaded by that feature.
- If an uncanceled crash countdown expires, the app may obtain a precise location. On supported Android devices it may call 911 and speak the rider name, motorcycle description, estimated severity, and approximate coordinates. MotoTunePro does not upload those coordinates to its backend, but the carrier and emergency-service recipient receive the call and spoken information.
Diagnostics, security, and support
Detailed app crash logs remain in app-private local storage unless you share them. Optional anonymous diagnostics are off by default and may include a limited error type and message, library, platform, release state, and app version. Filters reject common email, long hexadecimal identifier, and local path patterns. We also process entitlements, usage totals, App Check and installation-attestation results, authorized tester token fingerprints and device models, app version, timestamps, server logs, IP addresses, and support or tester-application information you submit.
2. How we use information
- Authenticate accounts and synchronize Garage profiles.
- Provide diagnostics, logging, calibration, backup, recovery, and user-directed write workflows.
- Respond to MotoTune Intelligence and vehicle-research requests.
- Maintain entitlements and enforce security, abuse, and usage limits.
- Provide support, beta access, inbox messages, and important service notices.
- Investigate errors, improve reliability and safety, and comply with law.
We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party behavioral advertising. The current Android app does not include advertising or a third-party analytics SDK.
3. When information is disclosed
- Cloud and identity: Google Firebase and Google Cloud provide authentication, database, storage, App Check, functions, and hosting. Google or Apple may provide federated sign-in.
- AI: Third-party AI service providers receive only the ride logs, questions, and evidence you choose to send, solely to generate your results, as required for the request it processes.
- Catalog and emergency services: NHTSA vPIC receives catalog queries. A carrier and emergency-service recipient receive an emergency call and its spoken message when that feature is triggered.
- Vendors and advisers: Infrastructure providers, lawyers, accountants, insurers, and security specialists may receive information when reasonably necessary and subject to appropriate duties.
- Legal, safety, or business events: We may preserve or disclose information to comply with law, respond to valid process, protect users or the public, or complete a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or asset sale subject to applicable law.
4. Retention and deletion
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed to provide and secure the services, resolve disputes, support safety and recovery, and meet legal obligations. Account profiles, Garage records, inbox messages, AI reports, usage records, and uploaded files remain while the account is active or until deleted through an available control. Local settings, photos, crash logs, backups, and ride logs remain on each device until you remove them, clear app data, or uninstall.
A completed account deletion removes the Firebase Authentication identity, main account tree and subcollections, owned Garage vehicles, user Storage uploads, linked tester applications, tester App Check records, and temporary account export archives. Limited security, fraud-prevention, legal, provider, backup, or transaction records may remain where reasonably necessary or required. Data already sent to an AI provider is subject to that provider’s applicable retention controls and MotoTunePro’s contractual deletion options.
5. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or an appeal. You may edit supported account and Garage information; keep anonymous diagnostics off; use supported identifier redaction; decline optional permissions; delete available uploads; sign out; or delete the account in the app or at mototunepro.com/account/delete.
Account deletion is permanent and does not erase local files from every device. Contact support@mototunepro.com for a privacy request. We may need to verify the request.
6. Security, international processing, and children
We use account-scoped rules, server-owned entitlements, App Check on supported calls, transport encryption, validation, and limited administrative access. No system is completely secure. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where providers operate.
MotoTunePro is intended for adults legally able to operate or authorize work on a motorcycle. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13.
7. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as services, providers, or law change. We will post the revised version here, change the updated date, and provide additional notice when required.
